The Sierra Gorda of Queretaro is a breathtaking region located in central Mexico, known for its lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and stunning landscapes. Comprising of rugged mountain ranges, verdant forests, and pristine rivers, the Sierra Gorda is a nature lover's paradise. The region is dotted with indigenous communities, colonial missions, and historic sites, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Pinal de Amoles

Take a stroll through the charming town of Pinal de Amoles. This beautiful corner is key to start the tour of the Sierra de Queretaro. Likewise, its picturesque houses and streets embraced by the fog offer a spectacular panorama.

Puerta del Cielo

Meet La Puerta del Cielo, the beautiful entrance to this paradise in Queretaro. To admire it you must be a very attentive traveler because it is a narrow stretch of road (on Jalpan de Serra - San Juan del Río, Pinal de Amoles) that, despite its charm, can go unnoticed.

Misiones de Jalpan

The five missions were founded by Fray Junipero Serra, who arrived in the Sierra Gorda with the mission to evangelize the indigenous people and it was together with them (the Pame) and a group of Franciscan monks that built these wonders.
